When Andhra Pradesh CM Mr. K. Rosayya had challenged TDP leader that if TDP gets even one seat majority in 2009 GHMC elections, he shall resign his CM post, then people had thought that he was very confident and anticipated that the Congress wins the elections by big majority, but it was just later that they realized that Rosayya was just over confident and the self destruction of Congress party in AP has already started. In 7 places, TDP lost the seats to Congress within 150 votes difference, and one of them was Adikmet, where TDP was behind by only 2 votes. This tells that, Rosayya was so much lucky to get away from a humiliating situation.
Though Congress occupied leading position in election results, it may have to give away the Mayor seat to MIM, which means, Congress has not won the elections though it looks like it won, and TDP, which had a big let down in the General Elections by Hyderabad public, seems to be enjoying its comeback. Political Analysts say that it is just beginning of a downfall for Congress and if not necessary steps taken, it can be highly impossible for them to stop TDP from coming into power in 2014.
