I used Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 to edit the video and I was depended mostly on the color curves to give the desired look to it. Each shot was color corrected separately but for the rain shots, I did not change the color curves much except little bit tweaking of the red curve. This song was shot using Canon HV40 in cine mode, and most of it was shot in bad lighting conditions, making the color corrections much difficult. Below is the video that demonstrates how I did color correction for the above rain shot.

Find below the screenshots of how I rendered the video. These are the best settings to render a HD video for either youtube or vimeo. You can observe in the screenshots that the video has been rendered with 6mbps variable bit rate with 720P resolution. In order to get the highest quality video in 1080P that is best viewed on your desktop, change the bit rate to 25mbps and change the width to 1920 and height to 1080.
Click on Custom tab..
On some computers, the 1080P 25mbps bit rate version may not run smoothly. Install Media player classic and CoreAVC professional to solve this problem.
Ravi, this has been so much help to me. I've tried many different rendering guides, but yours was the only one to give the results i wanted.
If you did a similar guide on how to render from Vegas for best quality dvd burning, it would be very useful!
Thankyou, Mel
