Story: Rancho(Aamir Khan), Farhan Khureshi(Madhavan) and Raju Rasthogi(Sharman Doshi) join a reputed engineering college, where the management and the professors think about only marks and ranks, but of no creativity among their students. Rancho points out the system of education. However, the three friends become very best friends soon. Professor Veeru Sahasrabuddhi hates these guys for their mischievous acts. Chatur is another student, who strongly cares for his studies. He often quarrels with Rancho and finally challenges him that after ten years, he will be in a better position than Rancho. In fact, after ten years, Chatur becomes a millionaire. He owns a building of worth 3.5 millions with a heated swimming pool, maple wood flooring, car, foreign job and six digit salary. Whereas Rancho turns teacher cum scientist. Who is the winner? Watch it on silver screen.

Artists Performance :

Aamir Khan: After the success of 'Taare Jameen Par', Aamir Khan might have thought of the present system of education. He did not hesitate to criticize the existing system of education. He applied the ideologies of Rousseau and Rabindranath Tagore for natural way of learning. Bookish language is trash, Learning by doing is the best way of acquiring cognitive development. Keeping all these things in mind, he questions the current system of learning. It is difficult to imagine how he could manage himself to act as a teenage college going student. His appearance and gestures never gave a chance to criticize. Kudos to his performance.

Madhavan: He came up with cool performance. Supported well for Aamir.

Sharman Doshi: Another supporting actor. His action in sentiment scenes, is extremely well.

Kareena Kapoor: She had given rather good priority to show her performance than showing glamour. Of course, she did a wonderful job.

Highlight Scenes:

1. Heroine's sister's delivery scene. The creator of this scene is certainly be a scientist. What an innovative technique it is.
2. Chatur's speech on the dais, which generated hilarious comedy.
3. Alcohol consuming scene among the three friends.
4. Hero's introduction through a physical experiment to teach a lesson to his teasers.
5. Climax scene, where the heroine and the friends meet their friend Rancho after a long gap.

Bottom Line: This is first time in Indian film industry, the same hero gave two industry top hits in a row. i.e. Ghajini and 3 idiots.

Guess Who Is Rancho In Telugu: Gemini film circuits bagged the rights of this movie with approximately 15 crores for the south. To meet the demand they must approach either Pawan Kalyan or Mahesh. Sources say, they are going for the first choice.
