Story: Rizwan Khan (Shahrukh Khan) suffers from Asperger's syndrome since his childhood. A person who suffers from this disease is scared of big sounds, new persons and places and to some colors and Khan is scared of all these things. Despite of suffering from this peculiar disease, he is very intelligent. His mom teaches him that there are only two kinds of people in this world, the good and the bad. When he grows up, he goes to abroad along with his brother. There he takes up a job of sales representative for beauty products. Meanwhile, he makes an acquaintance with Mandira a divorcee with a child, woos her and proposes her to marry him. After their marriage and after 9/11 tragedy in U.S., He starts getting troubles for having the surname "Khan". The Americans suspect all the Muslims regardless of whether they are involved with any crime or not. Later, the couple is separated due to the death of Mandira's son when he was brutally murdered by supporters of racism. Khan is asked to meet the President of U.S. and to prove his honesty and then only he is allowed to meet Mandira. Remaining story deals with how he gets Mandira back.

Artists Performance:

Shahrukh Khan:
He came up with a mind blowing performance. The predominant symptom of Asperger's syndrome is nodding head continuously without giving intervals. It is undoubtedly a deglamourized role. He deserves appreciations for his daring act to play this kind of off beat role.

Kajol: After a long gap, she paired up with Shahrukh Khan. Her body chemistry with Shahrukh was already proven and even after her marriage, she showed the same chemistry with him.

Songs Analysis:

Song #1(Tere naina): This is a well picturized montage song between Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.
Song #2(Sajna tere sajana): Another duet with Kajol. Best song of the movie with very good picturization.
Song #3(Ajnabhi): This is just an average background tragedy song.

Technical Department:
Story, Screenplay and Direction:
It seems that the aim of the makers is to get awards but not people's rewards. Karan Johar's direction lacks the required energy levels. Narration was very slow. He might have aimed at the multiplex audience but not the village people. More than 50 percent dialogues are in English. Then how can a person with no/low English knowledge understand the dialogues and the subject?

Music: Music is just average with no catchy tunes.

Interesting Scenes:
1. Hero protecting hurricane affected people.
2. Hero's meeting with U.S. president in the climax.
3. The scene when hero asks heroine "Marry Me"

Pros:
1. Shahrukh Khan and Kajol pair
2. Climax episode.

Cons:
1. Slow and boring screen play
2. No comedy
3. Lack of commercial elements.

Bottom Line: Only for intelligent people.

Daniel's Judgement: 2.5/5
