Story: CM Sanjeevaiah(Suman) is attacked with a land mine and goes into coma. When he regains his conscience, he reveals his desire to his US-returned son Arjun Prasad(Rana), that he should take his position as a successor, and then he dies. However, CM's nephew Dhanunjay(Subbaraju) wants to become next CM. Meanwhile, to fulfill the ambition of his father, Arjun Prasad decides to become the CM. For that he needs the support of MLAs, which he gets by bribing 2 crores to each MLA. Leaving a big shock to Dhanunjay, Arjun occupies the throne. As soon as he takes the position, he sets a goal to eradicate corruption as a single point agenda and sets a target of collecting one lakh crore rupees. Ali(Harshavardhan) and Ratnaprabha(Priya Anand) help him in achieving his goal. However, the furious Dhanunjay tries to assassinate Arjun Prasad, but Arjun survives. However, to overcome the problems being faced by Arjun Prasad, he traps the daughter of former home minister Munuswamy(Ahuti Prasad). He pretends that he fell in love with her. His aim for this act is to seek the support of her father. After a couple of scenes he makes the ACB to attack on the houses of MLAs and other politicians and later he gives his resignation to the governor. Elections are scheduled. Does he win? or lose? Watch it on silver screen.

Artists Performance:

Rana:
Though it is his introductory film, Rana showed brilliant performance with his dazzling looks. He is tall, handsome, manly and decent in appearance. His diction was remarkable possessing heavy bass voice. His speech at the party meeting was worth mentioning. However, he still needs to improve on his expressions. Common audience might get a doubt whether this hero suits to play all kinds of roles or not. How can he dance? How can he fight? We still have to wait and see.

Richa Gangopadhyay: How Sekhar Kammula brings such attractive heroines? It was Kamalini first, and now Richa. Both are from Bengal. She was really beautiful and enchanting. Her striking beauty appeals to all kinds of audience.

Priya Anand: She played the role of a TV journalist and helps hero in his moves. Just okay.

Others: Subbaraju acted as the main villain. He did a good justice to his role. Kota Srinivasa Rao acted as Peddayana's role who possess a strong bias on his caste. He did the role well.

Songs Analysis:

Song #1(Vandemataram): A montage song. Just average.
Song #2(Rajasekhara): Udayabhanu danced in this special item number. One of the highlights of this movie. She was really gorgeous with her pink colored costumes.
Song #3(Idi mana bharatam): A background song criticising our politicians' behaviours and attitudes.
Song #4(Manasu neelo): A melodious montage song between hero and heroine. Nice picturization.
Song #5(Maa Telugu Thalliki): Sankarambadi Sundarachari's Maa Telugu Thalliki, the state song of AP, was sung by Tangutoori Suryakumari in 1940s. The same song was taken but the music was remade. This song is seen in the movie when hero was deeply involved in his political campaigning. Very nice incorporation by the director.

Catchy Dialogues:
1. Politics ante konadam, ammudupovadam, ee vishayam 5th class chadive kurraadu kooda chebuthadu.
2. Ivala nijayathee ga pani cheyyaddamante thyaagalu cheyyadame.
3. CM koduku pandi ayina naaku okay(Priya Anand to hero)
4. Kanda vunna vaadiki gunde vundadani maa amma chebuthundi(Priya to hero)

Technical Department:
Story, Screenplay and Direction:
It is a fully political back drop story after Mahatma. This is first time in Tollywood that one hero was shown entirely as a CM of the state. A daring step by both the hero and the director. Of course, they were success in their attempt only to some extent. First half of the movie is good with MLAs' funny behaviours which was shown comically by the director. While the second half was a big let down. There is no humour element in the second half. Only plus point in second half is heroine's beauty. Music by Micky is just average. Other departments did their duty well. On the whole the movie stood in average position.

Pros:
1. Hero's performance
2. Udayabhanu's song
3. Maa telugu thalliki song
4. Heroine Richa's beauty

Cons:
1. Slow screen play in second half
2. Lack of comedy

Bottom Line: Watch it to encourage Rana for his nice performance.

Daniel's Judgement: 3.25/5
