STORY: Dasu (Srikanth) is a rowdy sheeter from Gandhi Nagar area. Whenever he is arrested by the police in any case, he is given the bail by lawyer Krishna Veni(Bhavana). Meanwhile Dada(Jayaprakash Reddy) and Kalarani(Jyothi) maintain two separate koteries in the same political party. Dasu later joins on Dada's gang and continues his rowdyism. After couple of scenes, he is inspired by the Mahatma Gandhi's principles and morals and he also starts observing non violence and telling truth. What the problems are meet with by him and how he does solve those problems by observing non violence can be seen on silver screen.
ARTIST'S PERFORMANCE:
SRIKANTH: As the movie is packed with full of heavy emotional sequences, Srikanth could do justice to his role. He again proved himself in exhibiting emotional gestures.Of course, it is the 100th movie of him.His dialogues at interval lead scene are pretty good. BHAVANA: She is cute. Her role is restricted to generate inspiration to Dasu about Gandhism. She was given two duets. Dances are enough. OTHERS: Jayaprakash Reddy takes the main villain role. Where as Ahuthi Prasad is given satirical dialogues.Perhaps, the role of Ram Jagan would be the best in his career. He is seen in the get ups like Gandhi, Potti Sriramulu, NTR, Pingali Venkayya, Alluri Seetharamaraju etc.
TECHNICAL DAPARTMENTS:
STORY, SCREEN PLAY AND DIRECTION: It is said that both Krishnavamsi and the director YVS Chowdary belong to the same school in one way.Both of them are the fans of Sr NTR.In titles of the movie the Photoes of NTR and YS Rajasekhara Reddy are shown.Director's name is seen beside the picture of NTR. Other eminent personalities of Andhra Pradesh are also shown.But there is no relevance of the subject with these pictures. He also focussed some satirical dialogues on Chiranjeevi and PRP. In one scene the flags of different political parties named like this: Kireetam party, Simhasanam party and manarajyam party.The flag of Manarajyam party resembles Prajarajyam party.It is further understood that PRPs only purpose is just getting the power.
MUSIC: Music by the debutant Music Director Vijay Anthony is adequate. Two duets and 'konthamandi intiperu' songs are good.
DIALOGUES: The dialogues of Paruchuri Brothers received claps from the audiences in some scenes. They are:
1. aadadanni choodagane amma anela vundali. neeyamma anela vundakoodadu.
2. endi poyina aaku chettumeedunte chettuke nashtam
ANALYSIS: First half of the movie is mediocre. The interval lead scene is simply superb. It is the highlight of the movie. The second half of the movie is mixed with heavy emotions and sentiments. Ram Jagan's death episode and Srikanth is beaten by the rowdies etc are difficult to bear. The only relief from the second half is the last song 'neelaveni' It's picturization is nice. Of course, the lyrics are copied from a people's writer's song.
BOTTOM LINE: If you like to watch political subject movies, you can prefer this movie. For other sections .....God only knows.
