Film: Ek Niranjan
Cast: Prabhas, Kangana Ranaut, Tanikella Bharani, Sangeetha, Sonu Sood, Deshpande, Brahmanandam, Ali, Abhinayasri, etc.,
Action: Stun Shiva
Art: Chinna
Editing: MR Varma
Music: Mani Sharma
Producer: Aditya Ram
Banner: Aditya Ram Movies
Story, Screenplay, Dialogues and Direction: Puri Jagannadh
Story: Chotu(Prabhas) is a police informer, who in his childhood had been kidnapped from his parents(Tanikella Bharani, Sangeetha) by a drunkard(Deshpande) and leads the life of an orphan. He loves a guitar teacher Sameera(Kangana Ranaut). He wants to marry her. Meanwhile, Chotu develops rivalry with Jani Bhai(Sonu Sood). The story finally leads to Bangkok. Can hero finds his parents? And can he get his beloved? The answers can be seen on silver screen.
Artists Performance:
Prabhas: Prabhas did well in all the departments like acting, dance and fights. He was very energetic in all the scenes. But he needs to improve his diction as it almost similar to that of the dialogue delivery in Billa.
Kangana Ranaut: She is the biggest minus point of the movie. She lacks enough glamour. Perhaps she suits to hollywood as she has gray hair, very fair in looks etc.
Others: Sonu Sood played the role of main villain. His character was portrayed well with punch dialogues, six pack body and lengthy role. Tanikella Bharani and Sangeetha were apt in their characters. Though the cheap comedy track was given to the trio Brahmanandam, Ali and Abhinayasri, they did well. After Jalsa, Deshpande did good role. His peculiar get up with long and curly hair and dence moustache suits to variety roles for him in future.
Technical Departments:
Story, Screenplay, Dialogues and Direction: All these departments were handled by Puri Jagannadh. It seems the most sought director in Tollywood, gradually has been changing himself as monotonous director. Story is purely old one. Screen play is also mediocre. Dialogues of course, they are good. Some dialogues received claps from the audiences like "Nenu kodithe mamooluga vundadu. Gurthochchinappudalla taluchukuni taluchukuni edusthav", "Rules matladetappudu India lo andariki English vachchesthundi."
Music: Music is average. Title song 'Ek Niranjan' and melodious song 'Evaroo lerani anaku' are good. Last song was dedicated to Michael Jackson. It was of the model of 'Dangerous' album's title song.
Analysis: First half of the movie is a bit energetic. Interval lead fight is good. But the second half lost the grip. Screen play from second half should have been better. Climax fight with Sonu Sood was interesting. Comedy track with Brahmanandam, Ali and Abhinayasri was too worst.
Plus Points: Prabhas, Title song, Sonu Sood
Minus Points: poor comedy, heroine, poor direction
Bottom Line: The fate of the movie will be decided on how the mass audiences will receive the movie.
Rating: 3/5
