Story: Surya (Mahesh
Babu) enters Mumbai with an ambition to become an underworld mafia don. To achieve
his goal, he applies many strategies. Gradually, his network spreads across the
country, and he establishes a firm, 'Surya Exports & Imports'. The main
objective of this firm is only to maintain underground mafia activities.
Finally, he makes an agreement with the National opposition party leader to
make him as the Prime Minister of the country. For that Surya charges an amount
of 35 thousand crores. His another target behind this agreement is not to let
the other aspirant, Jayadev (Prakash Raj), to become the PM of the country.
What happens in the elections? Can Surya achieve all his goals including
winning his love? To know the answers, watch the movie on big screen.
Artists Performance:
Mahesh Babu: Unlike his
'Dookudu', Mahesh had to shoulder the entire responsibilities of the movie. From
first frame to last frame, this is Mahesh's film. His dialogue delivery is
superb. According to the scene's demands, he modified his dialogue delivery for
each scene. Many times whistles and claps were heard from Mahesh fans for his
dialogues. His dances were simple and stylish in the songs 'Saar Ostara' and
'Pilla Chao'. His lip lock scene with Kajal was a masala treat.
Kajal: As usually,
Kajal looked gorgeous. However, her role was restricted to be a glamorous doll.
Her role in many scenes reminded Ileana's role in 'Pokiri'. She was so hot in
the lip lock song with Mahesh.
Others: Prakash Raj's
role as MP was monotonous. Nasser again did Police Commissioner's role after
recent 'Dookudu'. Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam was limited to only few scenes.
Shayaji Shinde, Brahmaji were okay.
Technical Department:
Music: One of the
main assets of this movie is Thaman's music. 'Saar Ostara' song is already
rocking in the chartbusters and its picturization too was appealing. 'Pilla
Chao' was also a good number with a different composition and nice
picturization. His background score was okay.
Story, Screenplay, Dialogues And Direction: All these departments were handled by director Puri
Jagannadh. Puri must be appreciated for penning very powerful dialogues, which
elevated the heroism in this hero centric film. After a long gap, we could see
such powerful dialogues from a hero. However, sometimes it appeared, the hero
was boasting too much. But overall, the dialogues were good. Puri also came up
with a tight screenplay for this movie. On the flip side, the movie was
completely filled with guns and dens. Families may think twice to watch this
movie. Even though, the character portrayal of hero was stylish and powerful,
his aimless targets and lack of any morals makes us feel a bit uninterested.
Sidelights:
* Unfortunately, the most popular pissing
dialogue of Mahesh Babu was censored.
* In one of the scenes, hero reveals that a total
of Rs.250 crores was spent in recent Kadapa elections by the political parties.
* Puri Jagannadh was seen as a taxi driver in one
of the scenes.
Catchy Dialogues:
* Ee Mumbai ni ------ poyinchadaniki vachchaanu.
* Nenu kodithe adolaa vuntundani vaalloo,
veelllooo cheppadame kaanee, naakkoodaa theleedu.
* Nenu maatlaaddaaniki vachchaanu kaabatti
manaspoorthigaa kottadam ledu.
* Ila round up chesi nannu confuse cheyyoddu.
Endukante, confusan lo ekkuva kottesthanu.
* Evadi cinemalu aadithe, vaadi cinemaalo vaade
hero.
* Veedu bhai enti sir, milk boy laa vunnadu--A
police to police commissioner
* Prathi kukkaa voka roju moruguddi. Eeroju nenu
morigaanu.
* Sir! Yuddham chetha kaani vaade dharmam
gurinchi maatladathaadu.
* Guns don't need agreements.
* Sury bhai ante nenu kaadu. It's a brand.
* I want all the gangsters and rowdies in one
rood.
* I am not interested in money, I am interested
in power.
* Vokka Kadapa ke 250 kotlu kharchu ayindi.
Positives:
* Mahesh Babu's dialogues
* Songs picturization
* Heroine
* Good screenplay
Negatives:
* No melodrama to attract families
* No separate comedy track
* Hero's aims and objectives are against social
responsibilities
Bottom-Line:
Restricted only to a few sections of audience. This film may have to strive
hard to do good 'Business'.
