Artists Performance:
Sunil is just awesome. Not just his physique, he transformed his image as well with this film. He is no more just a comedy hero, but he is now ready to do complete commercial mass entertainers. The response he got from the mass audiences, especially for his steps in the songs and for the climax fight, is extreme. In B and C centers, it looked as if a star hero's movie is released today.
Heroine Isha Chawla did her job well. She is not bad at acting, but she needs to be more energetic. If she wants to get into the top league, she should be more charming with her looks and she should try to get audience attention, and not just limiting her acting as per the director's direction.
Ali is as usually good. Pradeep Rawat and Dev Gil are good in bad guy roles. All remaining actors did their job well.
Plus Points:
- Sunil's energetic performance, dances and makeover
- Good first half
- Climax fight
Minus Points:
- Dragged second half
- Should have got more comedy and single liners
- Regular story and screenplay
Analysis:
The movie might have been a disaster if any other hero than Sunil acted in it. It is a tailor-made role for him. He performed the role with ease and with great energy levels. But, the director should have taken a bit more care on the script and screenplay, as it looked much like a regular story. Also, there are some unnecessary scenes that should have been removed at least in the post production. There should have been a bit of skin show for the masses.
But the director should be appreciated for the characterization of the hero. In the climax scene, when hero suddenly removes his shirt, shows up his six pack body, and fights with the hardcore villain, it did not look unnatural at all, as the director gave some hints earlier in the movie that hero has all those capabilities, but just he is unaware of his own talents.
Editing should have been more crisp as it looked dragged in some scenes especially in second half. Although there are some minus points in the movie, it is still not boring and can be watched once, especially for Sunil. At box office, the movie may get decent collections in the initial weeks.
Bottom-line:
Do not expect too much from the movie. Watch it just for Sunil.
