1936: 'Noujawan' became the first movie without songs.
1938: The firsst Malayalam movie Balan was released.
1942: 'Ektha' the first Sindhi movie.
1959: The first cinema scope movie 'Kagaj ke Phool' was released.It was produced and directed by Gurudatt.
1961: 'Babasari ladi' Became the first Rajasthani movie.
1962: 'Ganga vayya tohe piyari chadaibo' was the first Bhojpuri movie.
1964: The first Kashmiri movie 'Naeej Raath's release.
1966: The first Dogri language's movie 'Gallan hoin beethian's release.
1972: 'Matangi Manipur' the first Manipuri movie and 'Nadamanne nadakoolu' the Koorgi language movie were released.
1973: 'Beera shera' the first Hariyanvi movie.
1982: 'Braj Bhoomi' the first Braj language movie and Bhadava matha the Malavi language were released.
1983: 'Adi Sankaracharya' became the first Sanskrit movie. Jagval from Gadval language and 'Kaa laveyi hoki kijing gee' the first Khasi movie were also released.
