Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Sunil are going to act together in a film under the direction of Kishore Kumar Pardasani (Dolly), who earlier directed Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam. Pooja formalities were done at Ramanaidu Studios, Hydearbad.
This film is a remake of Tamil film Vettai. Earlier, Vettai makers were planning to release the film in Telugu as a dubbed movie with the title Bhale Thammudu. But Bellamkonda Suresh bought the remake rights and is making the remake. The original version was directed by Lingu Swamy and music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Sunil is playing as a cop, which was originally played by Madhavan in Tamil. Naga Chaitanya is playing Arya's role. Thaman is going to compose the music.
